My factory cooling fan clutch desided to lock up on me a while back and I got one from O'Reily's and it just spins way to hard for what I need and wastes power and fuel. Where can I get/order one that spins more freely. (higher temp clutch engage) I don't use my truck to pull more than a little utility trailer and it has an auxillary electric fan as well. I'm not really needing a huge amount of cooling power. The replacement that I got from O'Reily's is higher revving than the factory one when it was working properly. Anyone have any ideas? I thought about changing out the blades to a less aggressive blade, I know they make those for that size of fan. Can anyone recommend a good clutch for what I want for this make of application?

Just remove the bloody thing!! Most of the guys on my Dakota forums have removed them to free up more power and get better MPG. I removed my 2 yrs ago and had no problems with the motor overheating. The electric fan will kick in if the motor does get a little hot. The electric fan also runs full time when the AC is on. So there's nothing to worry about
If you want to know more on how-to remove it, I have pics and info on my site.
