94 trooper trans light

I have a 1994 trooper and the other day I went to my marina. As I stopped my antilock light came on and I had almost no brakes. when i left the marina my trans wouldn't shift and the trans light came on. since that day I have had to shift manually, but, twice in the morning the light stayed off and the trans acted like it was going to work, but it failed again........where should I start?
