I wrecked my baby

Last week I wrecked my car because one my tires were too bald and I wasnt empolyed to fix things. This fool had logs in the street and now my whole front clip must go I wish I had pictures to up load. I going to fix it but it is only one thing. |The engine was not touched nor the coolant system.she still drives fine.

But before the car was wrecked the check engine light would come on every now and then. When it would come on the car would kind of pull forwards kinda like i'm pressing the gas down. If i cut the car off and restart it would stop. The enigne is new 305 tbi about 2yrs old

sorry to hear about the damage, its never a good day when you bash up your baby.

In regard to the check engine light, i suggest running the car for codes to determine a starting point in diagnosis.

Fortunately, the only damage done to my car was i lost the glass in the sideview mirror and he gotta big nasty scratch accross his fender. He had a ford ranger 90ish. By the way 89, how do you check the codes my check engine light comes on and off aswell, but can't figure out why it does that.

to check for codes you can either go out and buy a diagnostic scanner, or take the the car to a shop, or take the car to advance auto. advance has free scanning (autozone might have free too but i cant say for sure)

yeah,autozone does free scans, BUT they only do OBD2. I tried to get mine scanned there, but they told me mine is OBD1.

On third gens you get a paper clip and put inside the top row on the last the last two holes on the right, and you turn your key on, please dont start the car , just turn it on so the radio turns on and count the code, i believe it should give you a code 12 that lets you know it's working right, and then it will give you any trouble codes. then just look up on your manual or pm me and i'll give you the codes. it's alot cheaper than buying a scanner. :smokin:

sorry to hear about your car, i have one of those code keys from gm because autozone said they didnt have a diagnostic kit for my car, anywayz which side is it on, i thought it was on the drivers side by the pedals but im not sure

If your talking about the diagnostic port it's right above your right knee, you will have to remove the little plastic cover and it's right there.

yeah autozone or none of those places could help but i'm goning to try that paper clip trick you mentioned. But now I'm lookin for a front bumper for my 92 rs. But my question is will a front bumper from a iroc with fog lights light work with my rs setup? Without major mods

it should be the same thing except the gfx for the irocs dont have the little aero vent in them. i put the 91 nose and gfx on my 1990 camaro

So The inner and out fog lights work on your rs. I was lookin under mine and was wondering where would the wires come from to power the inner fog lights. Did you add a extra switch inside the car.

On June 21 will be the 1 yr Anniversary of me owning my camaro but there is only one thing it is wrecked hopefully I can get everything together to get it fixed by then. No picture but the whole front end has to come off. But thanks to ebay I found everything I needed to bring it back. I plan on getting the whole car painted but I can think of a better color then white I mean white looks so clean at night.

That's the iroc turbo hood, thought about that one but too pricy. Looks like you got a good deal on it too. It'll look sweet when it's finished.

I put foglight on my RS, it's not too hard and is a good mod too finish the look of the front end.

I want fog lights but they are pricey plus I found some wires sliced near the hatch I was reading through the old paper work on the car seems the hatch light would not shut off. So they cut the wires!!!! I believe theats why I have no interior light.

J. Cutta, this should have been a new thread about your car, this is an old dead thread from two months ago. Try to avoid trolling the back pages of the forum and bringing up old threads. just start new ones.

just buy some aftermarket foglights, can get pretty cheap.
The frame already is set for them.
