HELP Installing Speakers

i just bought some rockford 6.5's for my front doors of my 1995 integra SE hatch

how do i access the speakers, do i just pry the fabric-covered grille off or do i have to remove the whole door panel??

after that, how do i install the speakers??

You have to take off the whole panel to get at the speakers in the front. Its not that difficult though.

yea but im 17 and my parents are real hesitant about me doing anything to the car...the only thing ive done was install the head unit, and a pair of 6x9's on my sisters oldsmobile...

i highly doubt that my parents will let me take off the door panel...u think i should just take the car to the dealership and have them install it for me, just to be on the safe side?

dude its really easy and basically impossible to mess up. if you/the rents are nervious make someone else do it.

look all you have to do is take out one screw behind the door lach and one int the handle you close the door with and just pull the panel from the bottom of the door it has plastic clips all around the edge that you will reuse it litteraly takes two minutes and another five at most to unscrew the speaker and put the new one in or if your parents insist ask them to give you the 60-80 bucks the installer will charge.

If they let you do it, there are three screws you need to unscrew. The first one is actually a plastic screw/clip towards the front of the door. Then there is one in the LITTLE "pocket". The last one is by the door handle. There is a little plastic part you will see that pops out, under it is your last screw. Then you simply go around the door with a pannel tool (I just used my fingers though) and pop out the clips (I think there are seven of them.) After they are free, lift up on the door pannel and it will come off. Since you have already installed speakers, I assume you can install them yourself. My 6.5" Infinitys' from Crutchfield came with little brackets and they just screwed in. BTW, I put my speakers in my teg when I was 17, so don't worry.

Just take the time and do it yourself, as was said. There's no real reason your parents should freak out over you taking the door panel off to replace speakers. If they really do insist on you not doing it and freak out, it's only becuase they likly don't know much about cars and have no real idea how easy it really is. It's all pretty straight forward stuff, and not hard at all. :2cents:
