A while ago when i was driving into the driveway i took the turn to early which resulted in me leaving a nasty dent in my tranny pan. I didn't find out about the dent until recently because at the time i hit the curb i didn't feel anything (so much snow at the time so i just assumed it was snow). But anyways, i move the car from the spot i parked it and there was fluid everywhere. I checked under car to see whats up and the pan was wrecked, it looked like someone took a sledgehammer to it. I took the pan off and found out that the filter got smashed to. The problem is before i hit that curb, my car had some crazy pull. Now my grandma toyota corolla would smoked if i was to race. It just doesn't pull as hard as before. Any ideas whats wrong? I thinking its gotta be something up there in the pan area but i'm to sure. No metal chips where in the pan when i clean and my tranny doesn't have that burning smell, so i know it's nothing internal. Sorry for the long post.

if you broke your oil pan and there was fluid al over, i'd say you better get that ficed and stopp ruining your trans by running it w/o oil.

By oil pan do you mean the pan that holds the tranny oil? If so, i've already replaced it with a new one and a filter and i also put fluid back in her. She's got fluid in her it that some one told me 7quarts if it was not completely flushed and 12 if it was. I put in 7 and checked it while running and the dip stick read correct. Its just that it doesn't pull as hard as before. I also think i've come up with a solution. When i drove it before the grounds were wet all the time do to snow. Now this would be the first time i drove it on dry grounds since the weather is getting better(i live in Boston and the winter has been a biotch!!) So am i on to something or do i sound like idoit? Be honest :grinno:

I'm leaning towards "sounding like an idiot". no, really some cars (especially my 80 z28) are very tempermental to weather changes. it might just be that. does it feel like your tranny is slipping at all?

my car is very tempermental to the weather due to the carb, but it might be the same, i live in ct man so i get the same bull crap with this lame ass weather, we had 4 inches last week of snow now 3" of rain ugh never ends...but i noticed like today with the rain, its not AS fast as it is, but like on sunny days, i can burn thru second no problem. so wait it out till like next month when we start getting nice weather and see how ur car runs then..just drive it for now, i know it can be hard not having a wicked fast car like u once did, but wait it out i think itll work itself out. just dont race anyone :banghead:

Yeahn that snow we got really suck, but i think she getting better now. She just needed to be broken in again. I took her out last night and it was pulling properly like it should. I guess i was panicking?( is that spelled right?) cuz it wasn't working the way i wanted it to. But she's a little better, i just wait until the weather gets better. whoisdabomd86, you live in ct damn i wish you lived in boston, but your still kinda close. Ain't fun up here in boston, roads suck, no one wants to race except minivans.

Naw, it ain't slipping now, but it was when i smashed it against the curb and all the fluid was leaking out of it. But now that i put the new pan on with filter and new fluid, it ain't slipping anymore, just felt alittle weak, but yesterday after took for a spin, it begin to pull alot before than before. I got the corvette servo in the mail a couple weeks ago just waiting to buy everything else i need before i install it.

It's probably fine. camaro's are just like a woman, and can be tempermental sometimes, and sometimes they just need a good kick in the ass. just kidding(to all of the women in here).
