I have a 01 Civic DX that has no spark at all. Looked everywhere for repair manual but to no avail yet (as of 3-28-05). This car has no distributor, probably coil packs but I can't locate. Checked all fuses and relays that are visible (fuse panel under steering wheel and under hood) and all is fine. I'd hate to think that the ICM unit or brain box is the only problem. The car ran fine, parked one night in the driveway and the next a.m. no spark. Poured fuel down the throat of the intake and directly into the the cylinders before i found that I wasn't getting any spark at all. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Coils packs....You sound pretty knowledgeable they are right there on the head when you open the hood 1-2-3-4 black plastic ovals..Check you rotor, and cap, and perform a voltage test on the batttery and cables. Check all your plugs and wires make sure every thing is attached correclty now that you know where the packs are located.

Ok Maybe this will help someone else out there! After taking this engine literally halfway apart trying to find out why this thing isn't getting spark
and checking everything from coil packs to crank sensor(which I might add is next to the timing belt) (that's right, had to remove the timing cover and everything surrounding it!) can you tell the frustration? When all of a sudden my wife read in the owners manual that the original key had the CODED CHIP inside and that any copied key would not work!!!!!!
You guessed it!!!! I made copies from the neighborhood Wal-mart and they will not work even though they fit and the key turns and the engine
tries to start but because no chip----no spark!!!! UUUGGGG!!!
Hope this helps some one out there as I am still eating crow! By the way
after I put the car back together and surprisingly had no pieces left over
and put the right key with chip, It started right up!!! Have a BETTER Day!! THanks though for the responses.
