Tight clutch in 02 WRX

I'm getting ready to buy a 02 WRX. I test drove it and the clutch is very very tight. This car, surprisingly, has only 18K miles on it. Is this tightness normal?

I'm taking it to the mechanic tomorrow to see if odometer is rolled back - do u think mechanic will be able to see that?

Is the clutch adjustable?

A mechanic that knows what to look for would be able to tell if the odometer is rolled back.

You may want to run a carfax report on the car and maybe get it inspected too in case it's been in a wreck and rebuilt.
Something could be bent resulting in the tight clutch.
Other than that, I'm not sure.

The clutch in my WRX is also tight compared with other cars' clutches I've owned. The only one that was stiffer was my old Mustang, but it had a fully mechanical clutch, so there's no real comparison.
