I got a 2005 yukon and i was wondering what's the process of putting a factory nav system. Dealer told me they had to run a new antena, but the truck has both antenas on the roof. They allso said tha it was going to void the warranty of the trucu, the truck is only 2 months old.
Is this true? what do i need to do.

Hi,
the radio is more than a radio and does some strange interactions with other computers. That is where the warranty voiding comes from.
The 2 antennas on the roof are for the Onstar cell phone and the XM Radio.
The new antenna may be another GPS antenna which goes under the dash cover. Onstar also has one there.
There are different versions of the nav unit, depending on whether you have the 'luxury' or the regular amplifier. Also, do you have the remote 6 disk CD player? You have to have the right part numbers for a couple of things.
There are some long threads about this.
Take care, Eggert :bananasmi
