Eric (CWBETB) - The new forums suck and I can't login

I hate to say it, but they are shit. I can't login at all. I enter my nick and password and it comes up with this message:

Thanks for logging in.

Sit tight... We are taking you back to: http://www.hostboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=342&t=002303

It then takes me to the forums and I'm no longer logged in :(

Done it dozens of times, refreshed the pages after I've done it and sweet fuck all is the result.

Any ideas?

BTW - can someone who can get it to work point Eric over here please :)

Umm... no... I can't connect into the 4gen forums so why shouldn't I post it here where others who go there might be able to help out :confused:

Hey Setanta, I had the same problem. I emailed CWBETB he told me to try upper case and lower case and that worked. I was able to login when I typed my username in uppercase, give it a try :)

hmm, worked for me yesterday but now at home I can't log in either :(

I gave it a go and it didn't work - you think they don't like us or something? ;)

Looks like they are banning the SiR's :( :)

The new message board is really cool! Its a bit slow sometimes though but it seems to be getting better. Some names got removed during the move so if uppercase and lowercase passwords do not work reregister :) You guys should check it out alot of boobie action going on over on my board!

no luck with upper/lower case and when I went to reregister I couldn't as I was already registered if you know what I mean.

setanta....I had the exact same prob..it has something to do w/ the 'framed' page...I cut and paste the url of just the board and logged in just fine... lose the frames :(

Dont give up! Setanta just reregister with like Setanta1 or something? Also make sure you are using my link above. If you have a link or Favorite to a specific forum it might not work. When you get that sit tight message see if it gives you an option to click here if your browser does not send you here automatically :(

Eric - it's a cookie/XP issue (also surf pal issue - surf pal blocks cookies, popups etc).

bracer had the solution to it - I've posted the solution on the boards there :)
