i just took off my pin striping off my car about 10 minutes ago, and now i got the sticky resedue still on my car. What would be the best to use to get that sticky stuff of my car without hurting the paint? I was going to use goo-gone, but thought i should ask first?

The goo-gone stuff should work fine. I used it to get rid of the 3m crap after taking off my side moldings. Just be sure not to rub the piss out of it or let it sit on for too long or it will fade the paint.

yea I hate pinstiping when I bought my cav the dealer asked if I wanted them to pinstripe the car. I told him hell no if you stripe it you might as well keep the car.

It's a 2000 Forrest Green color Cavy. And no the color wasn't darker or lighter. Honestly, you would'nt be able to tell I had pinstriping on there if you were to look at it.

lift off just a inch or so and see whats the outcome is.....other wise its all guess work as to what it will be like underneath.....

Well, first off, what year is your car? My car is a 2000 and from what I know, it was never parked in a garage. I leave it parked outside as well. So, every day outside, sunny weather and cold and dark.

If your car is newer or the same year, then it shouldn't leave a mark. Unless.....you live in like a place where it never gets too cold or lots of sun all the time.

What you can do I guess, take about 6 inches off and look. It's not that much. If you can't see any discoloration, then you should be fine. Take it off from the back side, if you are gonna try it.

An inch might not show you that much, and maybe 6 is too much. Try about 3-4 inches
