2000 Ga Se

My 2000 GA SE idles at like 3000, it will accelerate on its own. I'm not to great with cars but I do alright. Does anyone know any at home tricks before I take it to the dealer and lose my shirt?

Those two syptoms sound like classic symptoms of a bad MAF. Try going to a junkyard and buying a used MAF - they should be able to seel you one for like 20 to 40 bucks. Swap the MAFs. It may solve the problem.
