Clutch problem??

On my 96 K2500, with HD 5 speed manual, I have noticed a noise
when I push the clutch in. In sounds like a squeal, and engine rpms
do affect it. When I let the clutch out, noise goes away.
Throwout bearing??
Tell me what you think. If it is a no brainer, I am gonna get a Centerforce Kit for it asap. I planned on this anyways, but I was hoping to hold off for a couple more months...

Also, I am looking to maybe lift this truck a little. I found on ebay a couple kits that include 2" blocks for the rear, and different torsion keys
for the front. How much of a job is it to install these keys??
It says on there you need some sort of gear puller or something...

It's probably a bearing (kindda slept through manual transmission class, don't remember the name).

That's really not a good way to lift, 2" is the absolute max you can go with torsion bars. You should definately get lift spindles for the front. For a 2" lift, blocks aren't really too bad, but I wouldn't go any higher with blocks. How much are the kits? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it shouldn't be more than $60 shipped. Maybe up to $75 if it comes with longer U bolts.

it sounds like you may have some kind of oil getting on your clutch lining. It could either be from a leaking rear main seal on the engine. or it could be from your hydraulic clutch system. in your case changing the clutch would only temporaly slove the problem. however since you or going to change the clutch anyway, it would be wise to remove your flywheel and check rear main seal. also i would change your clutch slave cylinder, because with `95-up models the slave cylinder is only accessable with the bell housing removed. too bad... `95-down models the slave is on the outside.
