car worked fine in the morning, but went to move it and it would crank and crank, but wouldnt turn over. I thought it wasnt getting fuel so I played with the inertia switch and checked the fuel pump, even got a new one and hooked it up but even the new one didnt turn on when all the connectors were plugged in and grounded. thers supposed to be a fuel pump relay, but I cant find the thing. what else could be the problem for a crank but no start condition. any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the circuit protection devices i.e. fuse, fusible link. If the fuel pump relay is working you should here it 'click' when you turn the ignition key 'ON'.
The fuel pump relay should be located in either the Power Distribution Center were fuses and some relays are located....or. mounted on the R/H side of the firewall near the fuel injection.

should have started with basics check spark, fuel, battery and its connections and if all are confermed (not assumed) to be good then check your timing belt. without any more info on how you came to replae all that fuel stuff I'd guess you jumped the gun on those parts.

no I cchecked all that I just didnt mention it. has spark, battery is good and the timing belt isnt broke. I dont hear the fuel pump turn on at all, so I got a new one, just plugged in the connections to see it that one would at least turn on, it didnt, now im in search of the fuel pump relay.

Ok thanks for clearing that up. check what souphound suggests. Also try spraying carb/throttle body cleaner in the throat and see if it runs for a few seconds and that will point (confirm) to a fuel delivery problem of sorts.

well I ended up getting everything fixed today. it was the fuel pump relay, but the old fuel pump was so old and rusted on the outside and I had to reall pry to get the locking ring off that I had to get a new locking ring and fuel pump, but managed to get everythnig back together and running, original problem for the no start condition was the fuel pump relay, which in case for future reference happens to be insdie the passenger compartment on the passenger side behind the kick panel right next to the computer on the 91-96 models.

Thank you bigrod118. Behind the kick panel on the right hand side. I will file this away for future reference. Dave
