Holy sentances Batman. I know people have done this before, and it's been documented, search around for it.

pretty sure it is in the vfaq. And yes, please use SOMEWHAT proper sentence structure and grammer. when you dont, it just turns people off from helping you.
also, put your car into your signature along with any major supporting mods you have done.
thanks, good luck.

another person wanting to swap.......awesome.its cool that you want to make the effort to do it but its not easy, but its not terribly hard.i am doing a swap too, but im going n/t until i have at least 250-275 horse.heres a little list of what you will need, and some approx. prices
* jdm(optional but suggested)4g63t or n/t 92' 6 bolt 550$-1200$
* ecu 75$-130&
* engine harness 75$-100$ (the one under your hood going to the right side of your dash to your ecu)
* i know someone who can wire a n/t harness to fit a turbo dsm
* a a/c pulley if you want to keep your a/c. 10$-15$( the 1.8 has a pulley for a v belt and the 2.0 is a grooved belt.
* if you go n/t, the tranny will work
* i suggest a performance clutch and flywheel $$-depends on which one you want
* a gauge cluster from a 2.0 t or n/t. 20$ (2.0 redlines @ 7k and the 1.8 @ 6k)
* i "think" you will also have to replace the harness going to your gauge cluster if you go turbo because of the boost gauge. ??$
* be sure to get the same year of ecu as harness because they made little changes throughout the years 89-94. even better if you get them from the same car.
ill double check on everything and ill post again if i am missing something but i think i got everything.my swap should be done in a month to a month and a half.i am waiting on my clutch and flywheel.good luck, and hope i helped a little

I wouldent put a 1.8 into a turbo model...just plain foolish. www.totaljdm.com has a 6bolt swap w/ ecu awd tranny alternator etc for 1300. Damn good price, best I have seen for all that is included

yeah it can be foolish if you dont know how to do it properly or you can find another dsm, but if thats what you want to do and know how i say go for it.not alot of people can say that their fwd turbo dsm was a 1.8.plus insurance is cheaper.but i can also understand why you wouldnt want to just go by one. it just depends on how much work and time you want to put into it, and how much money you have.
