originally the truck was running fine then it wouldn't start. at that time the spark was not good so we replaced plugs, wires, cap, button and had the ign. module tested and they said it was o.k. found the wires from the pickup coil in the distributor were almost broken so we replaced the coil and that seemed to make the problem better. we had spark and it ran but not good. we drove it around town like this for a few weeks untill it would not start again. we tried a used computer and it made no change. new coil- no change. fuel pump tested o.k. ..replaced the filter anyway. still not running. we replaced the ign. module to try and still no luck. not getting strong fire. help

1993 4.3liter, battery is new and the injectors appear to be squirting fuel. i've removed the coil that is located under the rotor button because when i replaced it the first time i remember it didn't seem to want to go together very good and when i looked at it removed it looks bent. i'll replace it tomorrow and see what happens. i'm going to unplug the connector in for the timing adjustment going to the computer to see if that helps it start. today i retarded the timing and got it to fire back through the throttle body. looking at the spark plug fire it doesn't look consistant.
thanks
