chk eng light 98 lude

OK, heres my problem. I have been getting a chk engine light. When it turns on, the transmission jerks, and transfers from auto to 4 speed on its own.
I have been to the dealer who sys its various sensors, they have been replaced...problems came back! REPLACED THE TRANNY with a rebuilt one...problem is still there! mechanics now say they don't know what to do.
whats your opinion???

so wait, when you shift from park to d4 does it kinda hesitate and then jerk hard like someone hit you. i had the same problem. i have a 97 lude its a stupid auto. i heard auto is the worst to get for 5th gen ludes. anyway, i had talked to honda and they said they dont rebuild so i would have had to up up 5 grand for a new one. but i found someone to rebuild it and now it doesnt jerk anymore when i put it into gear. he told me he rebuilt it and replaced some sensors that were bad.

he said he replaced sensors and the tranny ... the only thing i can think is to do the electrical and any ecu that may deal with the tranny

again it sounds like u replaced everything but the transmission computer.check ebay i saw one for the 4gen for like 50 bucks a week ago.. Its not the regular computer its a seperate transmission computer probally under passenger floor.
