Tach problem

OK here goes
Today i got in my camaro 1984 v6 2.8 and tryed to turn it over, The battery was dead. SO then i noticed the tach was pined and was not coming down so i charged it thinking the dead battery was the problem but the tach is still pinned i cycled the key to see if it helped but its still there can any one tell me how to fix this please???????

did you try hitting the guage a little to try and knock it loose

no i didnt so ill try it tommarow by that time i was fed up with working on cars so i was not gonna do any thing.
Damn moms ford olny ford in the family lol how she can drive a car with 2 coils broke off bouth rear struts and not notice it i do not know i drove it 1 time and noticed it lol
