IM NEW......and have a problem

My name is Adriana, and i need help with my camaro, its a 98 camaro rs,
3.8 liter, with a 5 speed. My car has a really bad miss, and its gas mileage is dropping, and the exhaust smells funny. my car just turned over to 64,000 miles, should i have it tuned up?

Smells funny as in rotten egg smell?
Try starting out with a tune up, especially if it hasn't had one in the last year, new plugs and new wires if they are the factory ones still.

also, is the service engine soon light on by any chance?

Hey, it couldnt be an o2 sensor, could it? My 'service engine soon' light came on after I installed my headers and I could smell gas everytime I shut it off. Turned out to be the o2's. I guess I screwed one up during the swap.

Have you noticed lack of power at certain speeds? Like does it do it more when you're going slow or when you're beating on the car a little bit?

sounds to me like a o2 sensor, that would explain a hesitation, or miss, and definatly a rich exhaust smell
