I am looking at purchasing a 1984 CJ7 Renegade. The motor runs great, no smoke, My big concern is the rust. There is a lot in the bed area floor. (pretty much the whole floor.) There is some on the floor boards on the driver and passenger side. I live in FL and the asking price is $1800. Should I be concerend about this rust or is this par for the course when purchasing a 80's jeep?
Thanks!
Thanks!

rust is a big thing in the older cars but 1800 is a good price. If it runs great thats great and if you dont fall through the floor thats better. But if you get it replace the rusted parts as soon as you can

Jeep replacement body sheet metal is easy to get aftermarket and pretty easy for someone with a bit of mechanical and welding experience to install.
If someone does it for you, IMHO set aside $1000-2000 for repairs.
