it is a nt it has low mileage and perfect interior, and the engine runs good, I have replaced the axles in the last week and motor mounts recently alongh with the Timing belt at 85k and the car has about 47k miles less than it is suposed to have the blue book value is at $2300, how is $2600 too steep?? its an eclipse , not a talon or laser (i know technicaly the same car) but the eclipse is technicaly an import and the talon and laser are technicaly a domestic vehicle. there is less of a depretiation for an import than a domestic.

lmfao. an import depreciates less then a domestic? maybe if we're talking about honda or toyota vvs. gm or ford but not when its talon vs eclipse they are the same car and only a retard thinks one depreciates less then the other.
very rarely can you get blue book for a car. and if it has less miles then what blue book says then have it calculate the mileage too. go to kbb.com get the private party, retail, and trade in values for it. if you tried to trade it in at a dealer they wouldnt give you more then a grand for it

YOu make me laugh. "very rarely can you get bb value for a car" ok then why do i get offers on my a4 for $9500, and i sold my 99 Ram for 12k when the blue book was 9k, why is it that every car anyone in my family has sold has been atleast 700+ dollars over the bb value? tell me why the mr2 (second gen) market value is about $4000 over the kbb value of the car? man dont come in here trying to lecture me on how you think I over price my car. I put up a for sale thread not a come in and tell me how to sell my car thread. people like you ruin the forums.

people liek me ruin the forums? i bought my tsi for 600 bucks. the blue book on it with trans, engine, and interior all in bad/missing condition still showed a blue book retail value of 2500. if you want to pay blue book for a car ill sell you my 93 1.8 with no engien for "blue book" 2700, my 92 2.0 NT with a bad trans and shitty body for "blue book" 2500, and my tsi without an engine, trans, or interior for "blue book" 2500.
yes some cars go for more then blue book but 2600 for a 13 year old NON TURBO talon is bullshit

BS the bb on any of those cars is 2500 W/no engine. the bb value of this 92 ECLIPSE (not talon as you previously stated) with the 2.0 l dohc and only 107k mi. is at about 2300. maybe the only reason you bought your car for 600 dollars is because selling a car with no engine or tranny (or bad whatever the case may be) is a lot harder and less practical than selling a car with a perfectly good engine and tranny with decently low mi. i am not saying that i would try to sell the car for bb value with a bad engine or tranny. i am saying that the car i am selling is worth the blue book value and some. i understand that maybe DSM's are not as reliable as other cars and maynot sell for not as much of a margin over the bb value of the car but in this case it is worth the 2-300 dollars more than blue book. THe Interior is flawless (besides driverside visor) the engine bay is clean and well kept maintinance is done on a more than regular basis. and the hood and trunk areas will be repainted before the car is sold. I dont want to here what you bought something for that you had to tow home (because you probably didn't want to spend the extra money to buy a good condition car) and i am not saying that is necisarily a bad thing i know project cars can be fun, but there are people out there that need something like this as their primary transportation use and dont have the time to spend on rebuilding the car. obviously my car probably wont sell on these forums now due to the fact that you changed the complete direction of this thread.

there is nothing wrong with selling your car higher than the blue book value. It just takes an asshole to buy stupidly higher when they could have got the same car in the same condition for less.(not saying yours is stupidly higher.) Well to add to this thread, you could get a 1992 gs-t for 2650 blue book value with the same options. I know your just trying to sell a car but, over here we get people selling rs/gs for gs-t/gsx's all the time. And usually when somebody buys a rs/gs, they come here and ask "how do i get my car as fast as the turbo eclipse/talon/laser?" We don't have many people here looking for non-performance stuff so Selling you gs here will not appeal to as many people as it would ebay or auto trader or something. Just thought id let you know. :)
