I need help! My 95 Eclipse NT has been parked for over 4 months because no one can figure out what the problem is. 4 months ago my car started to shut off while driving. At first it used to start back up. Then, other times it would take 5-10min. Then there were times were it would take an hour for it to start. But now once it shuts off it won't start for a long time. Diagnostic shops can't figure out what's wrong with it because it never shuts off while being checked. I found a website with lots of DSM owners who also have that problem, but there are no solutions. Has any one had this problem b4 that can help me find this problem so I can drive my baby again?

hmm...it wouldn't be the starter if it shuts off while driving....my bet would be the ignition switch. mine did the same exact thing not too long ago....i'd be driving and my car would shut off....first time it did it, i luckily pulled into a gas station and tried to figure out what was wrong with it....well i crawled under the dash and jiggled around the wire harness for the ignition switch, put the key in and it started right up.....now i have it in the *sweet spot* so it doesn't do it anymore. i swear though, if i were to move it 1/4 of an inch my car wouldn't start. i need to fix that someday, just incase my car does decide to shut off on me in the middle of a quick turn or something.....that wouldn't be good.
