My girlfriend's brother-in-law saw Vuaghan play a week before he died. I can only imagine how amazing that show must have been.

he played the day before he died it was as how that he was in and he played with alot of people..

he was playing at some blues fest w/ eric clapton and some other big timers. originally the news thought some of claptons people were aboard, but i think they later ruled that only SRV, another couple of guys and the pilots were on.

as far as SRV and RR....SRV could tear that shit up in the studio...its not fair to compare the two. but between SRV and jimmi hendrix? its tough, i think SRV has the edge in the studio and Jimmi has the edge live...

Hendrix died on the 27th sept. Burton died the 26th Nov.

Was a terrible shock when SRV died, he'd just sorted himself out and was back to making great music and all of a sudden he was gone. Amazing to think it was almost 15 years ago. :(
