Front Crank Seal

trying to replace the front crank seal on my aspire. but cant get an impact in there does the mount hafve to be dropped before i do this, it looks like it but iw as wondering if there is a trick anyone has used while doping this,

I just did my '97. unbolt the mount and there is just enough clearence.
