Hey everyone, my ride in my 88 CRX Si is quite bumpy in the back. When I hit speed bumps its really bad only in the back, and also when Im turning or anything else really I hear grinding/other bad noises coming from the rear. So I would like to know what all I need to purchase to completley re-do my entire rear suspention. Im not looking for anything high class or fancy. Just something for a nice/smooth ride.
Thanks. And pix of the upcoming rust progress will be up soon.

might be your wheel bearing, try lifting the car and shake the wheel in and out if its loose it might be u'r bearings, other than that try parts at a junk yard.

complete bushing set for the rear; two compensator arm bushings, two upper compensator arm bushings, two rear control arm bushings, one rear strut lower bushing, one trailing arm bushing, new strut, new spring, new upper spring seat rubber cushion. multiplied by two to cover both sides.
as for all the noises, could be a blown out bushing, cracked or broken spring, bent compensator arm or trailing arm, or as was mentioned bad wheel bearing.

Lets start with what you have - how far are you lowered, what kind of lowering kit do you have, and do you have a camber kit, and what size of wheels. I know on my car, I've got 96-00 rear struts and my tire will bottom out inside the wheel well sometimes when I corner really hard causing a rubbing noise - if you are lowered a lot, you might be hearing that. Also, that would cause you ride to be really bouncey and you it's really hard in the back on speed bumps.

wow, thats a lot of stuff HONDA LUVR. Thanks for the list. I was looking for some of it on ebay and couldnt find much of it on there. Is there any good HONDA sites that sell all of that? I have looked at other ones but they only have this and that, Im looking for someone to have them all. Also 4G4D, my car is completley stock right now- no loweing kits, no bigger wheels/tires etc.

hmm my rear suspension makes a clunking noise sometimes when going over a hard bump, it kind of jumps up for a sec

Ya - if it's stock you probably have some bushings gone out, maybe your struts too. I can't remember if the rear arms have a lower ball joint, if they do, could be that also.

ok i did a search for some decent stock-like struts, and here's some i found

I'm guessing i'd get the AK70 kit also that have the bushings. And i'd replace the front and back, since they all have about 208,000 miles on them i think they need replacing lol
