I had the oil filter relocation lines changed at about 65k miles at the dealer. I again have a leak @ 107k. What can I do and is this something better left to the dealer. How hard is it and do I need the truck in the air to get to the connections. I hate oil leaks. :banghead:

Are they only leaking a very small amount?

It is leaking about a drop or two a day sitting after use.

Whicj lines did you have replaced, the lines from the filter to the rad or the lines from the filter to the engine?

first!!!;

get some engine degreaser and clean everything off(break cleaner will work also),then get some hose clamps(you know...the stainless,wormclamp variety)and now screw them on the crimped portion of the oil hose,the extra pressure applied by the hose clamps will(in most cases)stop the leaks,at worst just cut the crimped steel band off with a dremel and use 2 hose clamps at each connection,from this point you will never have an oil leak at these dreaded connections again,to me people who end up replacing these hoses every couple of years,(and brag about how easy it is)just doesnt make sense...enough said!!!

The lines from the engine (rear) to the filter.
