Hey guys I was wondering if you could swap a Skyline motor into a 240sx.

haha im j/k..now that you're not mad (hopefully) here's the real question.

My bro is looking at getting a 240sx, a 89-93 fastback, and he really wants to do a taillight conversion, most likely from an Inifiniti G35. I don't think the lines would look right. He begs to differ. Before buying some tail lights and trying it, can anyone give me some input, or even a Photoshop picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I won't even give negative comments the time of day, so don't waste your time. I'm not here to argue with anybody, just to get advice.

Hold up....wat????? G35 tails??? LOLLL, you gotta post a pic of that when he's done, it's ganna be fucking nasty, and I'm not saying that because it's G35 taillights, I'm saying that because it's any tails that weren't meant for the 240. And why don't you give the actual year of the car instead of saying 89-93? Is this for real? Does this car even exist?

Oh wait, I just read it again, he doesn't eve nhave the car yet, dude if you want to convert the car, get a Civic, the car will look the ame since your converting the lights and you won't waste a perfectly good 240, and as for performance, obviously it's not high on your list so a Civic will be perfect.

well there is a difference in 180sx and type x tails...but either are sexy. Dont 180sx tails look like ours but say 180sx instead of 240sx??? Then the type-x came in the sr20 models right??? Damn iv never really looked into that.

zenki and chuki 180sx tails do look like ours.. the kouki version has the round lamps.. sort of like a skyline.

logik good to have u back i think it will look like ass not trying to flame you or ur bro but it just wont work it will look bad and be a waste of money and a 240 cause someday someone who actually loves 240s will buy his and have to go through the trouble of changing it back or let ur bro do it and tell him ill pay twice what he bought it for just so i can change it back to its original beauty and save it from a life of being made fun of i feel sorry for the 240 that will have to go through such torture

Thanks to the people with an unbiased view whom replied with relevant information. As for everyone who thinks he should get a civic, I don't understand why you're trying to turn this into a ricer debate. If you can put s15 headlights on the car, why can't you put different tail lights on it? You people are acting like i said he wanted a Mustang front end or something. And would the car be "rice" if it had an sr20det in it? It's like everyone is worried about what other people do to their cars. Worry about your own 240sx, depending on if you have one. And why is everyone trying to save a 240sx? If you have your own, why does it matter. If you don't then you definately don't have a reason to call ANYTHING rice. Like I said, this isn't going to turn into a debate, and i'm not going to waste my life arguing with you guys on what is or is not rice or cool or whatever.

#4. Chucki, the 89-93 180SX tails were the same as ours (except for the 180SX instead of the 240SX in the center garnish), but when Nissan brought the car back in 96, they changed the tails to the Type X ones which are the double circle ones.

we worry about other people 240's cause they come on the forum and ask us what we think. then we tell them and u get mad when we say how we feel. i want to save 240's from people like u cause i want more then one cause im greedy. i dont like s15 headlights on anything except a s15. and i do have my 240 so i can call what ur bro wants to do RICE
