3000GT SL automatic transmission problem...help..

Friend has a 3000GT SL automatic and he says it wont shift into any gear but park. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong or and ideas on how to fix it? He said the mechanic guy said that there was to much fluid or something, so he changed it and it worked for like a week or so later and it decided to stop shifting into any gear. *thats what I remember him saying* Ill try get some more information.

Umm you don't have to shift into park....but anyway it's probably his first gear clutch pak (or something like that)...he's gonna need a new tranny most likely, same thing happened to mine, wouldn't go into any gear but reverse, got it flushed and it worked for a week, and then broke again.

Make sure the cables going to the shifter on the tranny are connected securely.

ya when i first bought my automatic Sl the guy replaced the fluid but i don't think he put enough. Cuz my car after about 50mi just stoped. I think every thing got scorched and something broke so my car just stoped and wouldn't move. I had to spend 2k for a tranny and to have if fixed.
