Gloria WideBody

New project, I would like to try something different. I want to try to put some putty on VIP car to look like something like 'Vanners' :icon16: and so I did this... This is the pict that I putty up yesterday, well it look like a big chuck to cut and sand...but I used to it...

And...these are picts that I did today. Sand and get the 1st prime on it to check all the hole and uneven area.

I learn to build the deep dish wheel lips here in AF, so nothing much special :rolleyes: It will be a pretty long project to work with. Color will be mica light purple, that I have to mix myself. Same thing, this car had shown on the last issue of HPI too. :lol:

what type of putty is that?

It's Tamiya Epoxy Putty, quick dry one..

boostspike... the door and fuel cap is like that, it is the same as in real pict. Will sand down to look better... :icon16:

I haven't taken any pics of mine yet. I have a few VIP magazines that I've got some ideas from, but my main preoject will be for the Tamiya Contest nest month, "IT" is a model/replica that you and I have in common, if you remember which one it is...muahhhahahahaha!

Err... :uhoh: don't think so. I would rather stay as a 'Yakuza' 4 doors car. But thanks for the idea.

Tamiya Epoxy Putty (green box, quick type). Yes, is from the very old 'Super VIP series' that with wide rim and WALD bodykit + full tinted clear parts.

Do you name your own Widebodies?
Not really, is a copy from HPI magazine, the last issue.

Looking good, you have definitely inspired me. Q45 still on the back burner but I recently acquired an old Cresta model. It comes with widebody fenders, but I'm modifying them a bit. It won't be as wild as yours, just simple boxy widebody. It's a really old model. Yours is looking great, I should dust off the Q45 and make some progress on it.

_WIDE_LOAD_... I'm trying hard to mix that, but only could get a light metallic purple :frown: Maybe by adding the Tamiya mica clear will do the job. :p
