I have recently aquired a 2000 bravada. The keyless entry does not work, however, the orange security light still flashes on the dash. I replaced the battery in the remote and still nothing. The dealership said that nothing was wrong with the remote, but to check the system it would be @ $90 per hour. Any suggestions to diagnose the problem?
Thanks,

I can't help you diagnose or correct, but I can commiserate with you. We bought our '97 Bravada new in April '97, and the remote works only to lock the vehicle. The unlock and hatch do not work. I blame my wife - she uses her nails to push the buttons rather than her fingers.
Dealer wants way too much to replace the fobs and recalibrate. One thing you may or may not know - the keyhole in the rear activates ALL of the door locks - either lock or unlock. Faster than opening the driver door and hitting the unlock button.

I see alot of links on this site that give out guides to program in remotes id try there. If the remote is pushed to many times away from the car it has to be reset or synked up with the truck, same thing if you truck battery if it dies then you have to do the same thing but if you cant find an answer to those questions just reprogram or get a remote and the guide comes free and it tells you how to add new remotes. Oh and as for the guy with his wife using her nails on the remote its not gonna messup the remote doing it like that the curcit bord inside is ment to take abuse so go say your sorry
