im in the market for an aftermarket exhaust header and i was wondering if you guys had any experience with either of these, both cost 269, both are 4-1... im not worried about speed so much as durability.. thanks guys

you should be posting this in the "non-specific" forum. not here.

this thread has already had 29 views, in "non-specific" or "integra" forums it would have like 2 views, ive been here probably longer than both of you two, i just dont post often. I know how the site works. you do not have to remind me. this is just were i post all my crap cause it gets the most notice. thanks anyways guys... and eps, i guess 4-1 headers only go on integras? since i did ask about the durability... im off to honda-tech later gentlemen... thanks for the responses

NO, there is a non specific racing forum now. Go post this there, or better have this moved atleast. That's where all of the NS SR threads go now. This section is for racing vids and stories.

But to answer you question, go with some DC Ceramic headers. They will last you so much longer, plus DC has made a name for itself already. I've heard many great things about their headers. Plus I made the mistake of buying Chrome headers, and now they are blue..meh. Anyway..L8...

thanks bro, i appreciate the help... but are ceramic as durable as stainless , even underneath the car where all the road salt and water hits?

Stainless tend to rust easier than ceramic headers. Example, I have a stainless still exhaust, and within a few weeks there were light spots of rust appearing. A buddy of mine has a set of DC Sports Ceramics and they have yet to rust even after 6 months. That's only example, but I have yet to see his headers rust yet, compared to my exhaust which has, despite the fact it's stainless. Just MO though. L8...

I think I came off all wrong, I wassnt trying to tell you how to post but since few people are likely to respond here I figured the non-specific would answer your question much sooner.

as for the rust issue, Cerramic are just as ressistent to rust if not more so then stainless. the cerramic coating does not react chemically to oxygen as metal does so it wont oxidize (rust). also its more heat resistant and can dessipate heat faster then metal so it will increase hp by lowering the opperating temp. of the exhaust gas.

I dont know much about Tegs but headers all work the same and thats the info I digged up on the header options for my eclipse.

im sorry if i sounded like an ass, just alittle ruffled about the bannings of my favorite mods...

why in the world would any buy stainless then? it costs upwards of 100+ more than ceramic.

Probably just for the looks. Ya know, real flashy and shiny . That's what suckered me into it. But I bought them off a friend for really cheap. L8...

Where did you want it moved to? The off topic section? Well that is where I will put it for you guys ;)

well ceramic is more expensive then stainless. so far all the ceramic stuff I've bought for my car have been way more then the stainless ones. in your case both cost the same which is good. but yeah sometimes plastic body kits sell the same if not more then Carbon-fiber.......its a screwy world we live in.
