How hard is it to remove the rotors off a 1st gen TSI AWD? I need to get them turned, and dont want to pay another shop to take them off. Thanks!

Its just the two bolts on the caliper, and it all slips right off. Right?

Just take the bolt of that you would to replace pads, then slide the caliper of, and finally remove the 2 bolts on the peice that is left and your rotor comes of. The rear will be allot more difficult since the e-brake line needs to be removed, this could be a frustrating procedure.
BTW, don't forget to push the caliper piston back, it may also be siezed and you'll have to heat it up to unsieze (free-up). The caliper piston is threaded:wink:.
PS. Don't forger to clean the new rotor w/ brake cleaner before installing, and make sure you grease all the lube spots.

They aren't hard at all to get off. Pop the wheel and the caliper. Slide off the rotor.
Just make sure they aren't all rusted. If so it may not even be worth turning them as it will still vent improperly, causing them to warp a bit. It will cause your stopping to feel real slow at points then it will give way a bit and slow down again...
I realize they are expensive though.. 130 for 2 I think I paid... (non cross drilled) from autozone..
