I have a 1988 Cutlass Supreme V6 2.8L and i was wondering if there is any thing i can buy or tweak to get more HP out of my car. Im not looking to spend alot of money so im just looking for cheap mods. that will give me a little more power.

Thanks

honestly i would say get a bigger engine and start from there but for you I would have to say cold air or forced air induction, there isnt anything else simple to do, you cant do a cam change, piston type change, intake change, you could possibly upgrade electrical ignition components like wires, plugs, distributor but dont expect too much out of that.

A few years ago there was an article in one of the Hot Rod magazines on installing a Cadillac Northstar V-8 in either a Lumina or Monte Carlo (same body style). I know that can be done, unfortunately that's all I remember. I've considered doing that to a Supreme Convertible. That ought to speed things up a bit. Also I think Pontiac put a supercharged 3800 in a Grand Prix ( again same body) and even a normally aspirated 3800 ought to spice things up a bit. Have fun.
