whistling noise

My car makes a little whistle ring noise when i shift and sometimes keeps going till i give it a little gas or hit the brakes. My dad used to work on hondas and said not to worry about it and just get my 90k maintinence when it comes around. It just kinda worries me cause i can't figure it out. I know this is really not very explanitory of it, but any ideas will be something i can check. Thanks

No, everything on my car is stock. It really only happens when the cars cold and is like a quiet whistle that i can hear when i press the gas, and then shift. If i get on it, the noise stops, but if i am just running it nice it doesn't.
