4 inch exhaust

So I work at Napa and Since I never do any actual work I was looking at a diesel truck exhaust catalog and I realized I can get 4 inch mandrel bent tubing for pretty f-ing cheap. I figured with my little discount I can make a 4 inch exhaust for like 60 bucks. Do I need a 4 inch exhaust? Hell no, but it would be cool. I'm gonna buy the piping next week and I'll post pictures of the process. Maybe I'll post a writeup with part numbers and everything. I could also do 5 inch but I think that's a little overboard (like 4 isn't).

what kind of car is it? make sure you don't run into problems with exhaust velocity (what most people refer to as backpressure) with a piping that big.

The car is a 95 GS-T, I'm gonna make one for my 240 too when my eclipse stops stealing all my money and I can put an sr20 in it.

That would be sweet. Are you going to make it turbo back or back-cat?

I'm gonna do a turbo back. I'll have to get a reducer for the o2 housing and I'll just do a dump for the wastegate. I've got the turbo flanges so I'll just cut an adapter up and make it go from 2.5 to 4 before the first bend. And as for the cat....the environment can kiss my ass.

Have fun. Know that 4'' inlet mufflers are going to be more expensive, but maybe you can get a discount on that too. I don't think I need to mention anything about how a 3'' is capable of running faster than you need.
