I know this is my first time on the forum, but I'm fed up with my 92 taurus. One day while getting ready to leave work, I noticed my car was slow turning over. The same day (few hours later) I went to start it and nothing happened. Fuses are good, battery is brand new. I figured it was the solenoid and replaced that and still nothing. Could it be the starter? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had the same problem with a 93 taurus 3.0 GL.
it was the starter, I replaced it then all was good.
Try tapping on the starter with a wrench or something see the try to start it, it prolly wont start but it may make some noise or try to turn over then you know its the starter. thats what I did. It just died with no warning. let us know

I assume you removed the battery cables from the battery when you changed the starter. Did you verify that the cables are clean and tight? Same at your starter, is the cable tight? When the car does not crank over, do the lights on the dash go out? Try starting the car with a door open so the interior lights are on. What happens with the lights when you try to start the car. If they go out, you probably have a loose connection at the battery. If they dim severly, you might have a shorted winding in the starter solenoid, a dirty connections somewhere, or a weak battery.
