egr valve location?

ok where is my egr and how do i remove it, i have slight hesitation and im going to start there, 98 4.3l

im not shure where is is on your year.....
but on my 93...it's just under the hose connected to the throttle body........its a small black cylinder with 2 bolts holding it on...and has a small wire harness plugged into it...
unplug the harness..2 bolts its off...
rember to clean it well..let it soak over night in tb cleaner.....i used a small wire brush to help clean out the carbon....make shure the plunger moves freely (very important)
you will also need a new gasket....most of them break when removed.........

i know mines a 93....but cleaning/removel is the same....im shure someone knows xcatly where it is for your year,,,,,,,
