I pm'd a mod( not disclosing his name obviously so he does not get into any trouble) I'm sharing this with all of you because some of our Former Mods have been banned as you may know. Please do not kill the messenger.

Well I'm not allowed to really comment on the situation cause it is an ongoing discussion. But when a decision is made and explination of everything will be posted for the AF community to see. We will not keep everyone in the dark. Feel free to post this up if you think members of you forum would like to see this.

I mean, it's perfect timing for one thing and the mods that are banned are good enough for the members to like and know they maybe shouldn't have been. it's not like OZ or Igor (which wouldnt make since) or idk. Just, it's this random people...newbies mods mostly and well......idk.

^The guidlines are at the top of the this forum and you shouldve read the rules when ya signed up as Oz (j/p :p)...I mean the mods would say.

Most of the time the warn u etc and just use common sense. This is a.."family" forum so nothing NSFW to keep it general.

Oh, april fools, yeah, me too to make sure but when u read the thread the mods posted for us from the MOds corner, they talked about how they shuld have started a week early so no one would be suspicious of it. It only makes sense for me to be suspicious because, well, i remember things, i read old threads (sometimes it's dead here and i miss the memories) and well, I'm just...judgy if that's a word....

Damien, it would be great if this was an April Fool's joke, but unfortunately it is not.
As many of you know, there is a mod's forum which you can't see, things go on behind the scenes of AF which you're not privvy to, and decisions are made.
Due to several things that have happened in the last weeks, the decision was made by our admins (which are higher than us lowly mods) to ban the members in question pending their investigation.
Admittedly those guys were great members and mods, but sometimes even a good apple can have a bad spot, right?
Pending the outcome of their investigations, they will make an announcement to the greater community of AF, until then, not even the mods will know what the final decision will be.

Ya know ray, i guess i'll wait it out. I've seen stuff like this before, so...pretty much until Dave gets online who didn't tell me about the joke last time so like it matters...im waitin' this out. Honestly, bad apples...we've seen mods post. I think I speak for the COT community that we want so good evidence that these 6 mods really have something the others don't. So yeah...just waitin'. meantime, im speculatin...hey, that ryhmed!

LOL, i agree, but we can't make decisions or educated statements without all of the information. We don't know what's been going on in the mod forums, so I guess we'll find out soon enough.

reading the ppl's previous posts and such, I'm sure it's an april fools joke... It's blatantly obvious now. They wouldn't ban a moderator without anything extreme, and none of them did anything extreme.

This better not be some kind of sick joke. I remember someone on a local forum made a thread about their corvette being stolen. Everyone joined together passing out fliers, getting the police involved, etc. Come to find out..it was just a fucking prank!

its not an april fools joke guys...its for real...I have my own opinions ab whats happening to af recently but I'll keep that to myself...eventually, I guess things will get worked out, but in the end......

no joke...josh got banned cause he made a thread in street racing and pm'd a mod about being banned before he said somethign stupid and no one seems to know or can get a straight answer on why the mods were banned....but i guess maybe eventually we'll all find out. :screwy:

1) Mods can change their title to Banned (it's been done)
2) The banned mods are people that the general AF public would want back. I mena this in all honesty, if Oz got banned, would there be as much care? We'd want to know, but would the samething appear in most sigs as in the sigs now? Just sayin'. Also Crazyjay (for eversio).

Hey guys I love all the Sigs supporting the banned Mods cause most of them are friends of mine and hope they are all returned to full status soon.

But some of the sigs are really just too big. You need to make them smaller. I'm sure your smart enough to figure out who you are so I won't pm you yet.

have you talked to the people who have been banned? if oz got banned, i'd care. I think he's a good mod. Everyone has their own opinion so whatever.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Rules were broken, guidelines breached, and they are facing the consequences of their actions. But like I have told anyone who has PMed me, until these issues are resolved, we can not say anything more.

I would like to thank everyone for voicing their concern. Support like this truly shows how strong the AF community really is, and encourages us to do everything in our power to resolve any issues that present themselves. So let me reassure you, we are doing our best as quickly as we can to return everything to normal.

Several members, some of whom are moderators have been banned pending an internal investigation at AutomotiveForums.


Somethings happened in an open forum that have since been removed from view.
I am afraid I am unable to share details, but the matter will be properly investigated, and hopefully the members in question re-instated.


I ask that everone is patiant, there is no reason to leave the forums, Im sure it will be sorted out to everyones satisfaction.

For those who think its an april fools joke, haha.
In the past we have pulled some funny pranks, but we are not allowed to do anything that might harm the forums image as the forums existance relies on paid advetising.
Im afraid april fools has been put on hold this year, I can't see this getting sorted out in time.

Now for the serious issue in this thread. As Moppie says, the moderators in question are currently suspended. Nothing is final, but there has been a serious abuse of trust, and it's up to Igor and only Igor to decide what the outcome will be. Feel free to show your support for the guys in your sigs, but please do not start any more threads, and have faith in Igor's ability to act for the benefit of this community.
