I am looking for a set of shocks for a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Ext. Cab. If anyone has done a lift and no longer needs the originals. They are BE5-2904 for the front and BE5-2905 for the back. If anyone knows of a way to get hold of some Please let me know.

These are always on E-Bay for like $20.00. I sold mine after my lift for $25.00.

I've got all the parts of my Z71 from when I got a lift. Shocks, skid plates, etc. I'd be glad to sell 'em.

airdam18, how's your lift doing? did you figure out anything about the camber yet?

Are they the BE5-2904 & BE5-2905? How many miles do they have on them?

lcb75701: The shocks have probably 85k on them...that was around when I got the lift......I don't know the part numbers but I'll check them as soon as I get a chance......
Moose is loose: I think I figured out the problem with the positive camber and I'm gonna take it to another shop to make 100% sure......As for the lift......I spent saturday and sunday installing a 3" Performance Accessories body lift....I also ordered some 37" tires and new rims with 4.5" backspacing........the truck is huge and the 33" tires look tiny with 9" of lift..........

How hard was the body lift? I'm considering one myself.

man those body lifts make trucks look horible, especialy when you can see the space between the bed and frame.

I like the look my truck has right now, not too low with the biggest tires I could fit it without any type of lift.

Agreed, a suspension lift is the way to go. You don't really gain anything with a body lift except for tire clearance, anyway.

I already have a 7" Suspension lift. I'm considering adding the body lift. Sorry, should have stated that. I really don't think they look bad if you use Gap Guards and raise your hitch and exhaust. Then, it's hardly noticeable.

I strongly agree......for months i've been trying to decide whether or not to do the body lift.......I hate seeing the gaps in other trucks...it just cheapens the truck in my opinion.......I also didn't want to give up my step bars or grille guard b/c of the body lift.....HOWEVER.....one of my friends just installed a body lift on his silverado and it looks a whole lot nicer than i thought.....I also found a shop that will fab up some brackets to raise my step bars and grille guard and which will also cover part of the frame on the bottom.......
Mosse is loose: installing the lift wasn't really hard only TIME CONSUMING..........It took nearly two days for me to get done with a little help from my brother.......If you have help and work fast it can be done in a day.............all in all it wasn't so bad.....
Now I just gotta wait for my tires, wheels, and gap guards get in so i can finish it up...........I think the 37" Xterrain's will look pretty good........

Should look bad ass. I have 315 X-Terrains on mine, with Pro-Comp 8089 Extreme alloy wheels. Looks great. The X-Terrains are great tires, but wear pretty quickly. I have 12,000 on mine and they have about 65-70% remaining. Not too bad considering the tread pattern. My next set will be the Pro Comp Extreme Terrain's, probably in a 325. More of an all terrain, and more for street. Should suit my pavement princess well;)
