Interior Light Sensor

Does anyone know anything about the interior light sensors in the doors of a 95 Blazer? I am assuming they are in the door latches because there is nothing in the jamb. I need to replace them because my security system runs through them and they stopped working this winter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So... are your interior lights always on? off?
Have you checked the wiring to your dimmer switch?
fuses?

There is a switch in each front door handle, a switch on the side of the dash on each side, one in each rear door jamb and one on the tail gate at the lift glass.

Let me clarify my question:

Originally the interior lights would come on when a door handle was lifted (even if the door was locked just lifting the handle would turn them on setting off the alarm). What I would like is to replace whatever it is in the door that is responsible for that. I am wondering if anyone else has done this an if so what is involved in it.

The switch is on the latch assembly inside the door. You will have to remove the latch itself, then remove the switch off the latch at that point. The three latch attaching bolts are on the latch side of the door.
