Well I was on the way to my Microbiology class, when at the light on to HWY 80 I see the Z06 I have “raced”(LOL) before was ahead of me. So I decided to try him again. I had to wait a few miles for traffic to clear, but then I started to slow down and the Z06 moved over to the right lane and did the same. When I got to 40 MPH( I love that speed), I dropped into second. I went as fast as my car could possibly go and he just sat there.
The light ahead turned red, so I slowed down. Next thing I know the Z06 is right behind and revving his engine. I think I might have messed myself, when he did that. When the light turned green, the car in front of me was going SLOW, so I jumped into the right lane and had just enough room to squeeze between the slow truck and a station wagon and get back in the left lane which had no other cars except for the previously mentioned slow truck.
When I was through I gave it everything I had, which was starting me off at about 20 MPH in first. I looked in my rear view and the Z06 was ON MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just stayed in the left lane, doing my best to squeeze every little bit of power out of all 281 cubic inches. But to no avail, the Z06 was happy to just sit on my ass all the way to 120 MPH. I started to slow down and he just sat behind me.
I got to the next light and I was the first in line with the Z06 behind me. Revving at me. It hurt, it was so pretty. The light turned green and I got a little wheel hop in first as I took off. The Z06 decided it was time to actually push the pedal on the right ALL the way down. He zipped around me as I speed shifted into second. I swear that car had a jet engine on it. He just showed me what 2 seconds difference in the quarter mile meant. I kept going until about 100 MPH and I don’t know how many car lengths ahead of me he was. I will never get tired of trying to race that guy. I am going to keep racing him, until he won’t race me.

I'm praying I run into a Z06 some time in the near future, so I can really stack my car up against something. Had it about a week back from tuners, and have suddenly seen a disapperance in anything with a V8. I'm more than upset. I'm sure z06 would give me a run for my money, but I'm certain my car will put up a good fight.

I think you would give him a run for his money. A 96 SC GT kicked my butt with only 6 psi. I think you would stay pretty close if not even with him.
How much psi you running? Know your Qmile?

My Quarter mile, unfortunately, I do not know. Not any 1/4 tracks nearby, and I've just had the car from tuners for about a week now altogether. But, as far as psi, kit is only supposed to make 6-8...when in reality, it gives you the added bonus of almost 10. So, about 9.5psi. :D i's loves it! Hehe, come to think of it today, though, i was trying to get a T/A w/ ram-air option to take my bait, but, he wouldn't do it. What the hell was up with that guy? :p Only joking, but, wish he would've ran so I could've stacked up and compared. oh well, perhaps another time...

Tinsel: I know how you feel. Right after I got my car back, everything with a V8 literally seems to vanish. I did get a run in with a V10 on the highway though. In the form of a GTS. It had intake/exhaust work.
From a roll, we were literally side by side to 130. From a stop, I'd pull on him pretty quickly when the tires would hook.

Hell, I'll race anyone once. I've never been in a position to rev on a Z06, but I'd definately get up for that one. That would be alot of fun.

Bring it! I'm ready for that SS! hehe. Cuz it just keeps happening, and happening as far as those imports are concerned...and that was only funny the first two or three times one of them revved it, now, it's getting old, and not worth the effort of putting more pressure on the gas pedal...ha! :evillaugh

I have been to Lena once with a friend but that was before the Cobra. I don't want to go to Byram's bc it is only an 1/8th, and don't wanna go to jackson speedway bc it is circular. I'll eventually go back to Lena when I have done a few more things to my car and want to drive out there. Also have to get directions again.

When I get back to the states I should have my car in the 9s, so I take on that Z06 for you, Hell right now I could probaly beat one, but when I get done there will be no way in hell that car will come close to me:D Oh, yeah take it to the track my man, you do not want to have a wreck and hurt someone else.
If you throw a $1500 A trim on your car, or a 100 shot that will give you a chance. Those Z06s are very quick, but for the money you would smoke them all.

I am a safe "street racer". I race when there are no other cars. But if you mean the other racer, that could happen at the track, too. As for the SC, I plan on seeing how fast I can be NA. After the P&P, cams, and chip I plan on being close to him.
