I know that old car's usually need to warm up but it sucks. Anything i can do to avoid having to warm my car up every hour untill it gets enough heat to idle?

Is it that it won't get warm at all, or does it just idle high until it's warm? If it's not idling high enough, just adjust your idle screw a little to kick the rpm's up slightly.

It will idle fine once it is warmed up. It idles at about 1200 or so after it warms up. So its just the cold idle that's not working. It jumps when you intially start it to about 2000-2500 then it dies back down.

Well... You might want to adjust your idler screw slightly.... It should idle around 800 when warm... So... Maybe that could help.

The problem isn't the warm idle. Its runs a little high but it's the cold idle. im going to try and use some carb cleaner on the linkage to see is thats the problem. Thanks.
