What's involved with replacing a front wheel bearing?

Bad front wheel bearingonmy '97. Loud roar while driving straight and it goes away when I turn left(driver's side is bad correct?)
I want to change it and all Autozone offers is the wholehub assembly for 75 bucks? That means breaking ball joints loose and tie rod ends too?
Is there a place to buy just the bearing and what's all involved? I'm pretty mechanical and do most all of my own repairs, but don't want to get myself in over my head or beyond my tool resources.
Thanks in advance.

Thumb thru the Taurus book that AutoZone sells, ought to give you a good idea.

You do not need to remove anything but the hub assembly. Remove wheel, brake caliper, rotor. The hub assembly bolts to the steering knuckle. There are 3 or 4 bolts and the axle retaining nut.

I'm pretty sure you have to remove your ball joint and possibly tie rod. But pretty simple other than that. Three bolts and the assembly comes off. Same part for both sides.
