now that would be an awesome truck to have... not only could u race like hell, but due to it being a truck and AWD you could use it for other practical purposes to. still plenty of room in the cab and u could haul some shit with it too.

If it's true...oh well, they had a good run. I just got back from a car show where I saw the new GT-500 . They're saying it will nail the mid 11s in the 1/4. If that's true then that's one hell of a high note to go out on.
P.S. That article talked about the "success" of Dodge's SRT group. I wouldn't call it a success by a long shot.

SVT was never a success in fact the SVT division never turned a profit.

I'm not talking about profits. I guess in profits it would be bad but with cars like the 00 Corbar R, 03 Cobra, the GT-40, 07 GT-500, and the Lightnings I think SVT could just build them better. That's just a personal opinion though.

The Ford GT was not a SVT product. It was designed by some of the SVT engineers but it was never labeled or sold as a SVT product. It is in more the same lines as a Mach1. The GT500 may be the same way as SVT will be gone in only a few days. I also believe that SVT could have built there products better and all of them in the end were dummed down. The GT500 is an extreem example of this. From its introduction it was said to be competing with the next M3 and it has missed that mark by a significant margin.

It's better than nothing.
I mean if Dodge is coming out with a new "Mustang Killer" Challenger and Chevy thinks about putting the LS7 (which I doubt but you never know) in their new Camaro, we'll need something with a little more kick than a GT.
