just one more prob

when i am driveing down the road, i lose power going up the slightest hill, alot of th time when i press harder on the gas it slowes down even more untill i kick in the over drive,it is killing my gas mailage haveing to do that .. its an 94 escort wagon, auto .. could it be my injectors, or plugs and wires, or both or something else .. i was going to just get new injectors but i don't have the money just to get something and not have the prob fixed .. thank you

I had a similar problem with a V6 Cadillac. The injectors were warn out and when you attempted to give it gas the car would not go, it would act like there was not fuel. If you put it in a lower gear with higher revs it would pick back up. Replaced the injectors and the problem went away. If you haven't replaced the plugs and wires in a while it may be a good idea to replace them too.
