cold air intake

hey, i got a 98 eclipse and i just bought a cold air intake for it. my eclipse is not a turbo. i need some detailed instructions on how to install it. thanks a bunch.

Take out the stock airbox and intake pipe. Connectors at the filter and the TB. Put new pipe in, tighten all fasterns, and mount it to something.

But, since you didnt install what kinda eclipse you have, and if it's a short ram or full intake, it's hardto get detailed for you. Search around for pictures. Its easy.

its a full cold air intake. its a little confusing on how it goes down into the wheel well if it does at all.

With my CAI I tried to position the cone filter in a direct line of airflow. That meant taking out the driver's side black plastic bumper hole cover thingy (very technical term) and positioning the cone around that area. I didn't even connect it directly to anything to secure it, I just kind of stuck the tube over the splash guard on the bottom (although I def recommend attaching it to something, but i havent had it fall off on me or anything). It really isn't that hard, just use some common sense and it will work out fine! Good luck.

Its easy. I did it even without removing the front bumper (instructions said to remove it). Remove the stock air box, shove the pipe down, and put on the filter from the bottom. If you know how to change your oil, you should be able to install the intake no problem.
