I got my short ram intake installed on my '90 Celica ST....adds a great low sound and definately added some power (my car seemed like it was really being choked).
Anyway....does my year celica have a Mass Airflow sensor? is that the black box connected to the intake manifold? Im just curious if it even has one....anyway, my intake was meant for an Integra, but with some manipulating, it fits perfectly in my car!

Actually mine was free....like i said it was originally meant for an integra, but my friend wrecked his integra but salvaged the intake, so he gave it to me for free because after the wrekc, he wanted nothing to do with that car anymore....i could have gotten a free exhaust too...
it was originally a 55$ system...with a K&N filter; which i got completely free

You have a black box on your intake manifold? Interesting.

imalmost sure theres no airflow sensor.
What kind of modifications did you have to do to make it fit?

remove airbox like normal, then make a 3" intake pipe fit on the stock 3" pipe....drill a hole in the pipe to fit that sensor that goes inthe air box....it only took like 15 minutes...its really easy. Ive already put in about 5 intakes on other cars. A maxima, integra, my car, escort, civic...all being short ram intakes

yea celicas 5th gens, rely on maf sensors, they alos have IAT sensors that plug into where ur airbox should have been, be sure to plug that in as well

I have a 90 gts and there is no other sensor besides the aif in the stock air box.
I really want to get an intake for it, its just too slow out of first and second gear right now. So you leave part of the stock piping on to make the integra short ram fit? Im sorry but im car retarded.

it only gives 5-7hp and 3-5 ft-lbs or torque...it doesnt add enough power to give you better times.
If you wnt that, then start changing your exhaust, headers, top end, bottom end...and so on
