Timing Info Etc.

I cannot get my timing mark to align up properly. I have tried everything and afraid it has something wrong. It will get close but will be all the way toward the radiator. Any ideas? It is fine at the setting it is now, 49 mpg, but the valves rattle at full throttle. I hope someone can help!!! Thanks.

did you disconnect the vaccum advance lines (89-92?) or short across the test connector(90-94?) at the firewall before you checked the timing?

1994. Shorted the pins per the schematic on the hood.

check the timing before and after you short pins, if it doesn't change then wire is in wrong holes or something wrong with computer.
