Convertible Top Hydraulic Pump

I just put a whole new top on, pump and all. The question is, does anyone know how to get the air out of the hydraulic lines? Never done it before....Would just adding more fluid do it? And does anyone know what kind of hydraulic fluid it takes? (Is there more than one kind)

not sure about on convertible hydraulics but in any other type of hydraulics you would find the output line and(while the pump is engaged) either open a joint at the highest point or fartest down the line.... leave the joint open untill only fluid pushes out and then tighten it back up...
