i found a sachs kit on ebay for less than 600.00. my car is down for a clutch and a paint job so if anybody else has any clutch advice i could use it also. i'm leaning towards the sachs kit otherwise.

Contact Scott at Auto Parts Foreign-he has the best prices. The last one I bought was a Sachs kit for, I think, $525.00

is your car a turbo? thats a good price. also iv'e got my engine out and i noticed that i can move the driveshaft up and down inside the torque tube. it's like it's in a rubber damper. my car shuttered when the clutch ingauged, i assumed it was the disc or the presure plate but i didn't want to take a chance that there was a problem with the torque tube. should i take the bell housing off?

Vertex Auto in Miami has had the best prices I could find for my 944...check them out, plus they will give you a free catalog. Many parts were cheaper than I could find for my japanese imports.
Seems I paid about $240 shipped for my stock clutch disc from them.
