This is my first model post on AF
I'ts a Man tga with 410 bhp tractor. One of the drivers of my dad's company asked him to make a miniature one. So i started building.
I am building for several years now. Although i can't touch the level off perfection on this site.

I'ts an italeri kit completely stock, just painted in the company colors.
And this was my the first truck, wich i drove for about 2 years.
I made that one too out of an italeri kit.

Next project is something completely different
Tamiya peugeot 205 t16 rally in Belga colours (Belgian cigarette brand)
so what do you guys think of my modeltrucks ?

Welcome to AF!!
That is a very nice rendition of the MAN cab. Don't get many truck builds on the Forum. Look forward to seeing your future builds.

Yes indeed I am. I live in Tielt - Winge
(tussen Leuven en Diest).
I am also a big vw fan like you deedlit en wheelin75er
This will be my next project. although it will take a wile before i start. The summer is coming up and i've got to replace the drivers who have their anual vacation.
and that means very little time.
Tamiya Peugeot 205 t16 +

Tommorow i'll post an other truck in this thread. I still got to make a pic.
Thanks for the comments.

I liked the yellow truck more then the green one, but still nicely built.
Just a question, are you gonna paint the insides of the bodyworks at the back, cause they look a bit unfinished from the high picture.
Oh and welcome on AF, enjoy your stay.

Indeed they look unfinished.
In real life they are unfinished too. In my model you can see the white primer. And in real life it will be rather a darker color.
By the way since you live in Belgium where do you buy sandpapers in really fine grits ?

Looks great. I'm not one of the semi-only guys, but I like to see them when they are nicely built like that. I prefer the compact (Relatively speaking) European trucks to the big long-haul American rigs.
I've got an Italeri Subaru rally team hauler on the to-do pile, I think it is a Man but it might be a Renault (I'm sure it was used sold on it's own)

The kit on you're to do pile contains a Scania
Scania is the most popular brand here in Europe amongst the drivers.
Not for the owners because they are expensive when you buy them and when you service them. Scania is a part of Saab and they are expensive to. I know i worked at a Saab dealer.
The one you have is an old model that is not sold anymore.
When you make the kit watch out for the front axle. There is a fault in the kit witch sets one of the wheels ( i don't now if it's the right or the left wheel) in an un straight position.

Hello....your trucks are looking awesome. Do you have Italeri's Volvo FH16?

Ah, the Saab/Scania/Subaru connection would make sence since all three are then under the blanket of General Motors in some way.
Thanks for the tip. I've built bigger and more complex R/C cars than the Scania, but I'll admit it is daunting. The engine is nearly as big as the Subaru WRC included in the box.

Cool, you're also belgian :iceslolan and a VW lover :iceslolan
Can't wait to see your future projects.
As for the sand paper, I buy mine at automotive stores, at the bodywork department (like Auto5, Norauto, ...) . You can have 1000 and 1200 grits sheets for cheap.

Hi all
For TireGiant:
Yes i have the new volvo Fh 16 from Italeri on my to do pile. This one is becoming a mad man project for me.
In Sweden the maximum lenght is restricted to maximum 25.25 meters.
Here in Belgium the maximum lenght is restricted to 18 meters.
But the trucking companies want to raise it to 25.25 m like in sweden.
In the Netherlands they are already testing these trucks.
Result: I'm building my on swedish combo with a kit bash of 3 Italeri kits
like this example:
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/111105dhl_volvo_-med.JPG
Expect to see my version this time next year. (Slow builder, lots of projects and not that mutch time)
As for deedlit: thanks for the info but i would like a higher grit
